SUBJECT, VERB, COMPLEMENT & MODIFIER

Subject likely or prone to be affected by (a particular condition or occurrence, typically an unwelcome or unpleasant one). about what or who is spoken in a sentence or clause. The subject can be people, animals, objects, and abstract concepts.

Verb a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence, behavior or other activities :
To read : to go ; to smoke ; to run ; to walk ; to take

Complement is a word or group of words that come after a linking verb and describe the subject of that verb (he’s nice), but with other verbs, it will describe for example, a direct object.

Modifier is usually an adjective (the ultimate challenge), an adverb (he protested virgorously), or a prepostional phrase (the woman in the red dress)
